Departing from Dana Point Peter Nguyen and crew were excited to put the kite fishing tackle that they had been preparing for weeks to the test. Arriving at the numbers that had been holding larger model Bluefin, Peter started to drop back his bait.
Then without warning line started to dump off the spool, Peter had hooked into a monster… After a grueling back-and-forth battle, they prepared their gaffs for some heavy lifting in the rough seas. After what felt like an eternity they successfully landed the giant which wouldn’t even fit into their kill bag.
