Team Phenix at Irvine Lake - Christmas Tournament

Team Phenix has been ripping up Irvine Lake. Frank Duarte and Alex Breton qualified for Irvine’s first ever “Masters” Qualifiers. Frank Duarte qualified on Saturday, December 22, 2007 with a 6.6 lb trout. Alex qualified on Sunday with a 7.1 lb trout. Both received a few hundred dollars of prize money. Not a bad way to make money while doing something that you totally love.

Here is Team Phenix at Irvine Lake
Alex uses a PT865 and a PT805. The PT865 is an eight and a half foot rod that will turn the head of those Irvine monsters. The PT805 is an eight foot rod that allows you to have the sensitivity to work the mini-jig and cast it quite a ways.
