Phenix Rods Doing What they do Best

Breaking News: Phenix Prostaffer Joe Everett Caught Hog of a Fish

To use the cliche, big bass fisherman Joe Everett knows Lake Mission Viejo like the back of his hand. Check out this article in the <blue>OC Register</blue> about Joe’s fish.

Phenix is proud to say that Joe was using one of Phenix’s Ultra MBX rods. Specifically, he was using the 700H. Believe it or not, this isn’t even Joe’s personal best. His personal best is over 17 lbs. This monster weighed 16.5 lbs.

Most people can only dream of catching one over 10 lbs. Joe has caught over 60 fish over 10 lbs this year alone.

Enjoy!

Look at our rods at work. These are our first generation saltwater rods. In fact, the Black Diamond series derived from this first series. The Black Diamond series is an improved version of our first series – lighter, stronger, more senstive!

Note: Though, the fisherman gives props to Phenix Boron Rods, none of these blanks had boron. These were made from the same graphite and carbon fiber materials that we use in our Black Diamond Series today.

Introducing our new Ultra MBX Baitcasting Series

Phenix Rods is proud to introduce the all new Ultra MBX Baitcasting series. After casting all day, every ounce counts. By having a split grip, we not only shaved some weight off the rod but also increased the sensitivity. The exposed rod on the reel seat also increases sensitivity and provides additional weight savings. The centerpiece of the Ultra MBX Baitcasting series is Phenix’s patent pending, specially designed reel seat. Traditionally, the rod goes through the center of the reel seat. Phenix has designed their reel seat so that the rod blank goes through the lower half of the reel seat. This allows the overall handle to be raised, elevating the palm of your hand. For the angler, this means ergonomic comfort all day long. In turn, this means increased casting accuracy and distance. The Ultra MBX series is suitable for all anglers. Whether you are the weekend warrior or on the tournament circuit, Phenix Rods has designed the Ultra MBX series to maximize your hook-up ratio.
